Coffee Is Healthy After All…Well Some Kinds Are
Having never had a cup of coffee, I didn’t imagine I’d be writing a blog about the benefits of this enormously popular drink. Like many, I had believed coffee to be addictive and detrimental to health. But when my girlfriend showed me the extensive research, I began to change my view.
What I learned is that while coffee has many benefits, most brands are loaded with pesticide residue and organic coffee is often plagued with mycotoxins (mold). So I began to search for a coffee that was free of both chemicals and mycotoxins. This search led me to Longevity Coffee.
While 59% of Americans consume coffee daily, it has long been considered an unhealthy, dehydrating vice, comparable to soda. This was my belief too until recently! Research shows that coffee does not cause dehydration at all! Also, regular coffee is highly acidic, with a pH between 4 and 6 (below 7 is acidic), and contains high amounts of chlorogenic acid, which causes stomachaches in a high percentage of coffee drinkers. In addition, big-name coffee companies typically sell blends of coffee, in which one bag can have beans from many different countries. It’s just impossible to oversee the process of so many different plantations.
But there is hope – with Longevity Coffee
While all coffee is grown within 1000 miles of the equator, there are certain high elevation valleys where the low humidity makes the coffee less prone to these deadly mycotoxins and thus chemical pesticides are not needed to protect the plants.
